Can I leave painter’s tape on between coats?

Paul Gordon Staff

If you need to paint multiple coats and you want to use painters tape, it is generally best to remove the tape after each coat and reapply it before the next coat. This will help to ensure that the tape stays fresh and effective and that you get a clean, sharp line when you remove it.
